A court hearing set for April 11 will determine whether prominent banker Brian Stuart-Young will be jailed for contempt of court in a long-running US$10 million dispute with businessman Jack Stroll.

Stuart-Young and his bank, Global Bank of Commerce, were ordered in November 2022 to repay the sum to Stroll. However, court documents confirm that as of February 28, 2025, Stuart-Young remains in contempt for failing to comply.

The upcoming hearing will address both the unpaid funds and whether the banker faces imprisonment for defying court orders. Senior Counsel Anthony Astaphan, speaking generally, said penalties for contempt could include jail, a fine, or both.

Stroll told _Antigua.news_ that the case records have been sealed, limiting what he can disclose and raising concerns about transparency. Meanwhile, the Financial Regulatory and Supervisory Commission, led by Paul Ashe, has stayed silent amid mounting public concern over alleged mismanagement at Global Bank.
