National Under-21 netballers off to winning start at World Youth Qualifiers

Antigua and Barbuda got off to a winning start in the Americas Netball World Youth Qualifiers being held in Guadeloupe, crushing their hosts by a 50-5 margin.

Contesting Pool B at the Hall Paul Chonchon Sports Complex located in Pointe-à-Pitre, Antigua and Barbuda dominated the one-sided affair, outscoring Guadeloupe in all four quarters with scores of 9-2, 15-1, 8-0 and 18-2.

Goal shoot Zhanira Pereira was the top performer for Antigua and Barbuda, sinking 39 of 43 attempts, while goal attack Stacia Henry picked up 11 of her 13 attempts.

Antigua and Barbuda is contesting Pool B alongside Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, St Marteen and hosts Guadeloupe.
