CABINET NOTES: The Cabinet invited Michael Freeland and Joel Rayne to provide each with alternatives to their present employment in Government.
Mr. Michael Freeland will be appointed to the Senate on Friday 21st March; and, Mr. Rayne will likely be appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Sports within a short time. Both expressed delight at their appointments and their thankfulness for the opportunity provided.
In a note of thanks, Michael Freeland said:
With deep gratitude and humility, I thank you, the comrades ofSt. George, for placing your trust in me as your ABLP candidate. This victory belongs not to me alone, but to every one of you who believed in our shared vision for a brighter St. George.
To all who supported this campaign through your votes, volunteering, spreading the word, or simply offering words of encouragement – thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your faith in me is a responsibility I do not take lightly.
I also extend my sincere appreciation to comrades Joel Rayne, Bakisha Francis-James, and Salim Browne for their exceptional campaigns. Each brought valuable ideas and perspectives that have enriched our collective vision for St. George. Their dynamic, clean, issues-focused campaigns demonstrated the caliber of leadership within our party, and I look forward to working closely with them, with all comrades, and with all residents of St. George as we move forward together.
Now is the time for unity and teamwork. Together, we will build the St. George we’ve envisioned – with modernized infrastructure, enhanced opportunities for our youth, boosted support for small businesses, thriving community sports, cleaner environments, vibrant cultural celebrations, better healthcare, safer neighborhoods, greater support for the vulnerable, and more affordable housing for all.
