An entertainer has been charged with two sexual offences in connection with an alleged incident in December 2024.
The individual, who cannot be named for legal reasons unless convicted, appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel this week. The charges include indecent assault and serious indecency.
They stem from a complaint made by a woman regarding an incident said to have occurred on 23 December last year.
The magistrate granted bail during the hearing.
A committal hearing is set for 12 May, when the court will assess whether there is enough evidence for the case to proceed to trial.
