Family members, friends, and supporters of the late Kahleel Simon gathered outside Police Headquarters on American Road on Friday, demanding justice in the ongoing investigation into his death.

Among them was St. Mary’s South MP Kelvin “Shugy” Simon, who has consistently called for accountability in the case.

Protesters held placards and chanted “Justice for Kahleel,” urging that the officer who fatally shot the teen be suspended pending the outcome of investigations.

“An innocent young man, full of promise, cut down in the prime of his life by those sworn to protect and serve,” Simon said. “We will not be silent. We will not allow this injustice to be buried beneath bureaucracy and lies.”

He said his presence was not political but personal, standing in solidarity with the grieving family. “This is about justice—plain and simple. We will not stop until Kahleel’s family gets the answers they deserve,” he added.

The peaceful protest was the latest in the family’s ongoing campaign for justice as they continue pressing authorities for answers.
