Prime Minister Gaston Browne has commended Panama for its principled stance on keeping the Caribbean a “Zone of Peace” amid rising global military tensions.

During the credential presentation of Panama’s new ambassador, Ana Irene Delgado, Browne said Panama’s foreign policy demonstrates a steadfast commitment to regional stability and sovereignty — values shared by Antigua and Barbuda.

He reiterated his government’s view that small states must champion diplomacy, peace, and non-aggression across the hemisphere, adding that “Panama’s voice on these matters remains consistent and courageous.”

Officials said the two nations are now strengthening cooperation in aviation, logistics, and trade as part of their expanding bilateral relationship.
