The Antigua and Barbuda Civil Registry, which was established on the 25th of September 2020 under adverse conditions during the covid 19 pandemic, begun celebrating its fifth anniversary as a distinct entity under the inspiring theme _“Five Years of Purpose, Perseverance, and Progress.”_ The week of activities reflects both gratitude for past achievements and anticipation for the future as the Registry continues to serve the nation with dedication.
The celebrations commenced on **Thursday, 18th September, 2025** , with a **Staff Retreat** at the John E. St. Luce Conference Centre. The retreat was designed to strengthen team spirit and renew focus on the Registry’s vision, offering staff members an opportunity to learn, share, grow and recommit themselves to excellence in service.
On **Friday, 19****th****September, 2025** , the Registry hosted its **Media Day** , appearing on _Good Morning Antigua and Barbuda_. The team proudly highlighted the progress made over the past five years and shared its vision andgoals for the future with the wider public.
The celebrations continued this weekend with an **Anniversary Church Service** on **Sunday, 21****st****September, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.** at the Ottos Wesleyan Holiness Church. This special time of worship and thanksgiving wasin acknowledgement of God’s faithfulness while celebrating the Registry’s journey of growth and service.
On **Monday, 22****nd****September, 2025, at 8:30 a.m.** , staff gathered at the Civil Registry Compound for a moment of **Special Prayer and Blessings** , led by Rev. Kevin Hill-St. Romain. This time of reflection and dedication sought divine guidance for the Registry’s continued success and its role in serving the people of Antigua and Barbuda.
The anniversary activities will culminate on **Thursday, 25****th****September, 2025** , with the much-anticipated **Open Day**. This highlight event will showcase the Registry’s services and achievements to the public. Informative pamphlets about Civil Registry operations will be distributed, while Legal Aid representatives and private legal practitioners will be available to address questions and concerns. To complement the day’s activities, specially prepared anniversary snack boxes will be on sale for $25.00. Tickets are available from members of staff of the Civil Registry.
As the Civil Registry celebrates five years of purpose, perseverance, and progress, the staff and leadership remains committed to strengthening service delivery, building public trust, relations and shaping a future of continued excellence.

From marriages formed to records of death.
Adoptions embraced, with stories to tell,
We bind every chapter where families dwell.
Behind every form, every page we provide,
Lies compassion and care, standing firm as our guide.
