    — The Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority (ABAA) is advising travelers that flights arriving at and departing from V.C. Bird International Airport may experience delays as temporary operational arrangements remain in effect ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

The arrangements will remain in place until November 5, 2026, according to an advisory issued by the Airport Authority.

Passengers are being encouraged to check their flight status directly with their airlines before heading to the airport and to allow sufficient time for airport procedures.

The advisory comes as Antigua and Barbuda prepares to host Commonwealth leaders and delegations for CHOGM, scheduled for November 1-4.

The Airport Authority has not specified which flights may be affected or how long potential delays could last.

ABAA thanked the traveling public for its understanding and cooperation as it manages airport operations during the period.

The latest advisory does not announce any airport closure or flight cancellations. Police have previously assured travelers that the airport will remain accessible during CHOGM, despite temporary traffic controls.
