Select Commitee of the House of Representatives Meets

GIS Antigua & Barbuda: A Select Committee of Parliament (House of Representatives) met today Thursday, March 13, 2025 to examine the Police Bill 2025, Forensic Services Bill 2025 and the Fire and Rescue Service Bill 2025.

Attorney General Hon. Sir Steadroy Benjamin, Hon. Anthony Smith Jr. and Hon. Richard Lewis were in attendance along with representatives from the Royal Police Force of Antigua & Barbuda, Fire Brigade, Antigua & Barbuda Defence Force, Ministry of Public Safety and Human Trafficking Department.

A Select Committee is a bipartisan group of Members of Parliament that are set up to investigate a specific issue in detail or perform a particular scrutiny role. The Select Committee may request contributions from experts and officials, as well as request certain information from the Government of Antigua & Barbuda.
