The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) has surpassed a major milestone, producing over 9 million gallons of water per day. On June 6, output reached 9,040,183 imperial gallons, with a record high of 9.2 million gallons on June 8.

This increased capacity—drawn from reverse osmosis, groundwater, and surface water—has improved access nationwide. However, the aging distribution network has led to frequent pipe breaks and temporary supply disruptions. APUA says it is working to address these issues while maintaining reliable service.
