The Police have arrested and charged 22-year-old Malachi Toussaint of Green Bay in connection with a report of House Breaking and Larceny.
Toussaint is accused of unlawfully entering the dwelling home of a Potters’ resident sometime between September 6 and September 13. During the incident, he allegedly stole the victim’s motor vehicle and several electronic items, including a sound system and a 40-inch television.
In addition to House Breaking and Larceny, Toussaint was further charged with several traffic-related offences, including: Driving without a valid Antigua and Barbuda Driver’s Licence, Driving when not covered by insurance, Driving without the consent of the owner, Driving an unlicensed vehicle, and Fraudulent use of a licence plate.
On Wednesday, September 17, the accused was spotted with the stolen vehicle. Police intercepted the vehicle, and he was arrested and taken into custody. The vehicle has since been transported to Police Headquarters for further investigations.
The accused is expected to appear before the court in the coming week to answer the charges.
