The Ministry of Works says September was a month of “progress in motion” as crews advanced major road construction and repair projects across Antigua.

In a statement, the ministry credited engineers, contractors, quarry operators, and road crews for sustaining “consistent progress” in communities islandwide.

Significant upgrades were carried out along Valley Road North, Anchorage Road, and the Sir Sydney Walling Highway, with resurfacing and drainage improvements also completed in Clare Hall and along the Parham–Blue Waters main road.

Minister of Works Maria Browne thanked staff and partners, including contractor C.O. Williams, for their contributions. “The road ahead remains long, but we are determined to deliver lasting infrastructure that benefits every community in Antigua and Barbuda,” she said.

Upcoming works will include major upgrades to All Saints Road as part of what the ministry calls a continuing “road works revolution.”
