I am writing this letter because I am disgusted and alarmed at the things being done by the Police in our beautiful country. It seems to be that NO ONE is in charge. It is a free for all of out of control and corrupt officials. And Magistrates who sign Search Warrants with shoddy evidence.
I live at Barnes Hill and I was awaken at about 6am Saturday to a frightening incident. 6 Police vehicles, about 13 to 15 officers with big guns surrounded a neighbours house. I thought there was murder or something going on. Only to be told that there was an accusation that one of the occupants of the home, was accused of a credit card scam.
Yes you heard me. Not guns. Not drugs. Not murder. A minor blue collar crime. And that called for 15 officers, guns and 6 vehicles? With all the armed robberies, murders, break-ins, unsolved murders, disappearing persons etc, is this really the focus and use of the resources of the Police?
I hope that these two young people who were treated this alarming way, sue the hell out of the AG, the government and the Police. I am warning the government that if we do not clean up the Police Force, this country will continue to go to hell. We have ongoing demonstrations over the recent killing of an 18 year old by the Police which has been treated with scant regard by the Police and the government. If this out of control Police force is allowed to thrive, we are going to hell in a basket.
