Antigua and Barbuda will be proudly represented on the regional stage as nine outstanding bakers and pastry professionals have been nominated for the 2026 Caribbean Baking Awards (CBA), taking place during the Caribbean Baking Awards Festival Weekend in Sint Maarten.
Hosted by the Caribbean Baking Awards, this three-day festival has become one of the Caribbean’s premier celebrations of baking excellence, culinary tourism, youth development, and regional unity, bringing together talented bakers from across the Caribbean under the theme “One Caribbean Baking Together.”
The public is invited to experience an exciting weekend of live competitions and celebrations, beginning with the Ultimate Bake-Off Competition, where 6 Caribbean teams will battle head-to-head in a live baking challenge showcasing creativity, technical skill, and authentic Caribbean flavours.
The festival will also feature the Youth Baking Showcase, providing a platform for the region’s next generation of bakers to demonstrate their talent while inspiring future careers in baking and pastry arts.
The weekend concludes with the prestigious Caribbean Baking Awards All-White Gala, an elegant evening recognizing the Caribbean’s top bakers, pastry chefs, cake artists, culinary entrepreneurs, and industry leaders for their outstanding contributions to the region.
This year’s competition will be judged by an exceptional international panel featuring culinary professionals from Antigua and Barbuda – Chef Nadine Anthony, Trinidad and Tobago/Guyana – Chef Dominic Dart, and Sint Maarten – Chef Kareem Brooks, along with a distinguished celebrity judge from the United States – Chef Lincoln Alexander, ensuring world-class standards throughout the competition.
Founder and CEO Shanda Webster-Glasgow said the continued support from Antigua and Barbuda demonstrates the country’s commitment to culinary excellence and its growing influence within the Caribbean baking industry.
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate the nine nominees representing Antigua and Barbuda this year. Their passion, creativity, and dedication continue to raise the standard of Caribbean baking, and we look forward to welcoming them to Sint Maarten as we celebrate the very best our region has to offer.”
