Long before food security became a buzzword, Sir Robert Hall was planting the seeds of self-reliance. As Minister of Agriculture (1971–1976), he led one of the most productive eras in Antigua and Barbuda’s agricultural history.

✅ Established the Christian Valley Plant Nursery Project (65 acres)

✅ Settled small farmers on 5-acre plots at Table Hill Gordon

✅ Expanded Diamond Estate Gardens from 35 to 165 acres

✅ Strengthened export markets for fruits and vegetables across the region and Canada

✅ Grew the number of registered small farmers from 576 to 2,000 in 4 years

✅ Revived cotton and coconut production

✅ Strengthened livestock, fisheries, and marine protection programmes

✅ Pushed for local marketing through the Central Marketing Corporation
