Two men accused of carrying out an armed robbery at the Buckley Line Gas Station on All Saints Road have been remanded to prison.

Jermain Joseph and Deon Smith appeared before Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel on Thursday morning, charged in connection with the theft of $6,000 from the business.

The men, represented by attorney Wendel Alexander, were remanded until November 18.

The robbery occurred at about 4 p.m. on Friday, September 4, when two masked gunmen reportedly approached the gas station on foot.

Police said one of the men, carrying a handgun, entered the business and allegedly took cash and lottery tickets. The other suspect, reportedly armed with a long gun, allegedly held a pump attendant at gunpoint and took a money bag.

The suspects then fled on foot, and a shot was reportedly fired during their escape.

Police said the pair later made their getaway in a dark purple Toyota Ractis.
