Four councillors from The University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus Guild are travelling to Jamaica to represent the campus at an Inter-Campus Guild Council meeting at the Mona Campus.

The delegation will participate in meetings from September 13 to 20 as part of ongoing regional collaboration and student representation across The UWI.

The Five Islands delegation comprises Guild President Jake Taylor, Postgraduate Representative Ellisia Zakers, Publications Committee Chairperson Damani Zakers and Gender Affairs Representative Ajanté Fraser.

During their absence, Vice President for Facilities and Special Projects Tarik Mussington will serve as acting Guild president.

The Inter-Campus Guild Council brings together student representatives from across The UWI system and serves as a mechanism for student voices to engage with university administration on issues affecting students.

The Five Islands Guild said the delegation will continue advocating for the welfare and interests of students at the regional level.
