It is with a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the late Honourable Hilson Brother B. Baptist. His untimely passing has left a profound void, not only in the hearts of those closest to him but also in the wider St. Mary’s South community and our nation as a whole.

Brother B., as he was affectionately known, was more than a Member of Parliament—he was a pillar of strength, a voice for the voiceless, and a man deeply committed to the development and upliftment of his people. His years of service as Minister of Parliament for St. Mary’s South were marked by unwavering dedication, bold leadership, and an unshakable love for the constituency he called home.

He worked tirelessly to improve the lives of those he represented, often walking the roads and sitting with his constituents to hear their concerns firsthand. His legacy is etched in the stories of those he helped, the projects he championed, and the spirit of progress he inspired throughout the community.

Though we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived in service to others. His contributions will not be forgotten, and the seeds he has planted will continue to bear fruit for generations to come.

On behalf of myself and the entire St. Mary’s South Branch of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party, I offer our heartfelt sympathies. May his family find comfort in knowing that his life made a meaningful impact, and may they be surrounded by love and support during this difficult time.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.

Senator Dwayne George
