Caribbean Cinemas Antigua has reopened for business after receiving approval from the Health Department.

In an email issued Thursday evening, the Antigua Megaplex said it had addressed all recommendations made by health officials.

“We have complied with all the recommendations of the Health Department, and we now open for business,” the company stated.

The reopening follows the cinema’s recent temporary closure, although the company did not publicly confirm the reason for closing the entire facility.

Separate reports had raised concerns about alleged health breaches at the cinema’s canteen. Health officials reportedly required corrective measures before the food-service operation could resume.
