A police officer is receiving medical treatment for multiple gunshot wounds following a shooting incident in Potters Village in the early hours of Monday morning.
The officer has been identified as 30-year-old Trevor Giddings, a resident of Buckley Line. He was reportedly working in a private capacity at a Jamaican-themed party in the area when he came under fire.
Eyewitnesses told police that two armed assailants opened fire, hitting Giddings several times. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and investigators are still working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The officer’s condition is currently unknown.
